One Year Fast Track 

Module 1 - Salon Etiquette

In this module, you’ll learn how to behave like a true salon professional from day one. We’ll cover appearance, body language, time‑keeping, hygiene standards, client greeting and check‑out, plus how to support your team on a busy floor. By the end, you’ll know how to move, speak and work in a way that builds trust with clients and respect from colleagues.

Module 2 – Hair Structure and Anatomy

Here you’ll build the scientific foundation behind every great service. We’ll break down hair and scalp structure, growth patterns, density, porosity and common conditions. You’ll learn how to assess the hair in front of you and choose the right products, tools and techniques to protect its health while achieving the result your client wants.

Module 3 - Hair Hypes and Texture

In this module, you’ll learn how to confidently work with every hair type and texture. We’ll cover straight, wavy, curly and coiled hair, growth patterns, shrinkage, and how texture affects cutting, colouring and styling choices. You’ll practice adapting your approach so each client’s natural texture is respected, enhanced and easy for them to manage at home.

Module 4 - Consultation Skills

In this module, you’ll learn how to lead confident, professional consultations that build trust and set every service up for success. We’ll cover how to read your client’s hair, lifestyle and personality, ask the right questions, manage expectations and translate inspiration photos into realistic plans. You’ll also practice active listening, note‑taking and rebooking conversations so you can create long‑term, loyal clients and deliver results that feel tailored and wearable.

Module 5 - Cutting Techniques

In this module, you’ll build the cutting skills that separate hobbyists from true professionals. We’ll cover sectioning, tension, elevation and over‑direction, plus one‑length, layers, graduation and texturizing. You’ll learn how to choose the right technique for different hair types, lengths and face shapes, and how to work with body position and posture for accuracy. By the end, you’ll be able to create salon‑ready shapes with confidence and consistency.

Module 6 - Styling Fundamentals

In this module, you’ll master the core styling skills every professional stylist needs on the salon floor. We’ll cover blow‑drying for polish and volume, smooth finishes, waves and curls, product choice and layering, brush and tool control, and how to prep hair for long‑lasting results. You’ll also learn how to adapt finishes to different hair types and face shapes so every client leaves looking intentional and camera‑ready.

Module 7 - Chemical Treatments

  

This module focuses on the safe, professional use of chemical services. You’ll learn the theory behind relaxing, perming and smoothing treatments, how chemicals interact with different hair types, and how to carry out tests and consultations. We’ll cover application, timing, neutralising and aftercare so you can protect the hair’s integrity while delivering predictable, long‑lasting results.

Module 8 - Colour Theory

Here you’ll build the colour knowledge that underpins every successful colour service. We’ll cover the colour wheel, levels and tones, underlying pigment, and how lightening and depositing work. You’ll learn how to read your starting point, choose the right formula and developer, and predict how colour will behave on different hair types so you can avoid common mistakes.

Module 9 - Colour Specialist

In this advanced colour module, you’ll take your skills to specialist level. We’ll explore modern techniques such as balayage, foiling patterns, root melts and creative toning, along with grey coverage strategies and colour correction planning. You’ll learn how to design bespoke colour placements that suit each client’s cut, skin tone and lifestyle, and how to photograph your work for a professional portfolio.

Module 10 - Corrective Colouring

This module teaches you how to fix challenging colour situations with confidence. We’ll cover banding, unwanted tones, over‑darkened hair and over‑lightened hair, plus step‑by‑step strategies for gentle, controlled correction. You’ll learn how to plan multi‑visit journeys, communicate realistic outcomes and protect the hair while moving it from its current state to the client’s goal.

Module 11 - Creative Hair Show

In this module, you’ll step into the world of creative, editorial and show work. We’ll design and build high‑impact looks that push your skills beyond everyday salon work, combining cut, colour and styling for the stage or camera. You’ll learn how to work to a brief, collaborate as a team, and present your work with confidence—ideal experience for competitions and future brand work.

Module 12 - In House Training (6 Months)

Your final module is a 6‑month in‑house training block where you put everything into real practice. Under close supervision, you’ll work on live models and clients, refine your timing, build your column and handle real‑world salon pressure. You’ll receive ongoing feedback, coaching and assessments so that by graduation you’re ready to step onto the salon floor as a confident, employable stylist.
